Kelly Ryan Hoover, age 60, of Hermantown, MN, passed away Friday, April 30, 2021 at his home.
Kelly was born in Bagley, Minnesota on April 11, 1961, to Robert and DeeAnn (Bromaghin) Hoover. Kelly grew up in the Bagley and Grand Rapids, MN areas, graduating from Grand Rapids High School. Kelly served in the US Navy from 1979 to 1983 and 1987 to 1989. Kelly was a millwright in the mining industry, working for Lakehead Construction until his retirement. He was a member of the North Central States Regional Council of Carpenters. Kelly loved his Harley and collecting antiques by attending auctions. He was a very playful person and enjoyed his life to the fullest. Kelly always had a big heart and loved kids. He will be sadly missed by his friends and family.
Kelly is survived by his son, Robert (Kayli) Hoover; daughters: Ryan Hoover, Rylee Hoover, Rayanna (Nathan) Gill; grandchildren: Michael, Raynee, Kahli, Kaili, Robert Jr., Breena, Donovan, David, Danica, Ezra, Brielle, Zemirah and Emmett; mother of his children, Kim Evans; brothers: Patrick (Chris) Hoover, Shawn (Kim) Hoover and several nieces and nephews. Kelly was preceded in death by his father Bob Hoover and sister Maureen Charnley.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2021, at 11:00am, at the Itasca Bible Church, Grand Rapids, MN. Services are being provided by Whispering Pines Funeral & Cremation Service, Cloquet, MN (www.whisperingpinesnorth.com).
