Kevin King

Kevin Eric King, Nii-gon-nii-benais, age 50, Bear Clan, of Redby, MN, passed away in Fargo, ND on October 5, 2023, with his loving family by his side.

Kevin was born on July 26, 1973, to Marian (Wilson) and Fred King, Sr. He attended school in Red Lake and later obtained his GED in 1997. Kevin worked for Seven Clans as a shuttle driver and worked various jobs as a security guard, transfer station, fisheries, and he liked to work on cars and computers. He also liked to go out hunting and fishing, visit with friends, play cribbage and tell jokes.

He was preceded in death by his father, Fred King, Sr.; daughter, Savannah; maternal grandparents: Marie and Tom Wilson, Sr.; paternal grandparents: Beatrice and August King, Sr.; uncle, Tom Wilson, Jr.

Kevin will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Marian King; sister, Marla (Jason) King; life partner and soul mate, Kori Neadeau; nephews: Keon King, John Salazar; niece, Misty Salazar; brothers: Terry Jourdain, Myron Benais and Harrison Dudley, Sr.

The wake will begin at 2PM on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at the Redby Community Center in Redby and continue until the service at 1PM on Saturday, October 14, 2023, with Father George Ross and Willie Strong officiating. Active pallbearers will be: Myron Benais, Mike Thunder, Harrison Dudley, Sr., Keon King, John Salazar, Jeff Roy, Sr., and Joe Strong. Honorary pallbearers will be: Charles Johnson, James Dudley, Sr., Floyd “Buck” Jourdain, Terry Jourdain, Misty Salazar, Desi Wilson, Natalie Wilson, and Bud Johnson.
