La’Chele Rose ("Chubz" "Biish-Biish" "Chiin-Chiin") Whitefeather, Makoons “Little Bear” of the Kingfisher Clan, age 38, of Ponemah, MN, passed away unexpectedly and entered the spirit world on September 29, 2025 in Terrell, Texas.
La’Chele was born on February 2, 1987 in Red Lake, MN, to Kimberly (Stillday) and Corey Whitefeather. She attended Ponemah Elementary School, Red Lake Middle School and graduated from Red Lake High School in 2005, which was the biggest graduating class in Red Lake history. She worked in the customer service industry as a manager throughout 18 years of her life. La’Chele liked to play softball and played first base on the “Obaashiing Softball” Team, along with volleyball, basketball, horseshoes; she was very competitive and always took first place! She liked cooking, playing cards, dancing, singing, spending time with family, her daughter, grandson, nieces, nephews and friends. She enjoyed going out to flea markets, shopping, getting dressed up and doing her hair and make-up to go to concerts. She loved watching her Dallas Cowboys and NY Yankees – was a huge fan – and she also loved watching boxing. She was goofy – always laughing, cracking jokes, just a happy person. She treasured spending a lot of her time at home with her first grandson, Terry III, and her nieces; she was very protective of her family. She was outspoken and very social with whomever she met. She had made many friends throughout the states of North Carolina, Washington State and Texas.
La’Chele is survived by her husband: Anthony Hall; father: Corey Whitefeather; mother: Kimberly (Stillday) Whitefeather; daughter: De’Anjeleah Whitefeather; grandson: Terry Jackson III; brothers: Shadow Whitefeather (Alex) and Kendall Whitefeather; sisters: Lakota Whitefeather (Leon), Thyria Whitefeather (Adam) and Kallea Martin; grandfather: Roderick Whitefeather Sr; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by many family members, including Warren and Alvina Stillday; brother: Corey Dale Whitefeather; cousins: Vanessa Stillday and Taylor Whitefeather; uncle: Alvin Stillday.
A wake will begin at 12 PM on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at the Ponemah Boys & Girls Club and will continue until the service at 10 AM on Friday, October 10, 2025 with Spiritual Leaders Zac Earley and Ty Stately. Active Casketbearers will be Anthony Hall, James Cloud Jr, James Cloud III, Neal Johnson, Brian Stillday Jr, Gavin Sumner, Nathaniel Pemberton and Leon Donnell. Alternates will be Drayden Pemberton, DeAngelo Rodriguez, Travis and Tyrone Dow. Honorary Casketbearers will be Cristy Sumner, Brandee Lightfeather, Aunts, Uncles, Sisters, Brothers, Nieces and Nephews. Burial will be at the Whitefeather Family Burial Grounds in Ponemah, MN. Arrangements provided by Whispering Pines Funeral & Cremation Service, serving Northern Minnesota.
