Linda Lou Fairbanks

Linda Lou Fairbanks, age 71, began her journey to the spirit world on February 7, 2026 in Hutchinson, MN.

Linda was born on October 19, 1954 in Devils Lake, North Dakota to Beatrice Jones. She was raised by her loving adopted parents, Leo and Amelia Fairbanks, in Minneapolis, where she attended South High School. She had her three children in Minneapolis and moved to Bemidji to live closer to her mom Amelia in the early 1990s. Linda loved playing bingo with her mom and enjoyed playing cards and dice with her family. She enjoyed bike and car rides and loved listening to music - Rolling Stones would get her up dancing around! Linda loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and loved the time she was able to spend with them.

Linda is survived by her sons: Robert (Rachel) Fairbanks and Michael Fairbanks; daughter: Jennifer Fairbanks; grandkids: Robyn Thompson, Eric Bevins, Elicia Bevins, Nathan Fairbanks, Alayna Wind, Jayden Fairbanks, Jorden Fairbanks, Aiyahna Fairbanks, Mikayla Hayes, Derrick Hayes, Jasmine Hayes, Alex Heisler, Joshua Fairbanks, Justin Zarling, Jessica Fairbanks; numerous great-grandkids; and siblings: Vivian Fairbanks and Gordon Fairbanks.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Leo and Amelia Fairbanks; her great-granddaughter: Zariah Ray Fairbanks; and mother: Beatrice Jones.

A wake will begin at 12 PM on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at the New Red Lake Center and will continue until the service at 3 PM on Thursday, February 12, 2026 with Father Tom Niehaus. Pallbearers will be family and friends of Linda. Burial will be at St Mary’s Cemetery in Red Lake, MN. Arrangements provided by Whispering Pines Funeral & Cremation Service, serving Northern Minnesota.
