Lisa Joyce (Wilkins) Sanchez

Lisa Joyce (Wilkins) Sanchez “Mikinaakajiiqwey”, age 57, of Minneapolis, Minnesota began her journey into the spirit world on January 20, 2024. She was born on June 21, 1966 to Margaret Wilkins and Louis John Lafromboise in Park Rapids, Minnesota.

She bartended at Yukon for many years and was a champion at playing pool. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family. She loved dancing at powwows with family and beading medallions.

Lisa is survived by her children Alisha Wilkins, Amanda Jones, Joshua Jones, Andrea Manzano and Alex Jones; her siblings Marva Aitken, Donnie Stone, Wilma Wilkins, Wilbur Wilkins and Darwin Wilkins; 13 grandkids and 2 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her mother Margaret Wilkins, her dad Louis John Lafromboise; Vicki Stone Hernandez, Rebecca Goodman, Albert (aboo) Jones, Wanda Wilkins and Darell Wilkins.

The wake will begin at 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 1, 2024 with a service at 7:00 PM and continue until the service at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 2, 2024 at Gichitwaa Kateri Church, 3045 Park Avenue South, Minneapolis, Minnesota with Spiritual Leader Brian Heart. Active Pallbearers will be Miguel Martinez, Angel Martinez, Vince Williams, Elijah Redding, Manny Maurstad and Greg Maurstad. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joycelyn Manzano, Joshua Jones, Corey Stone and Alex Jones.
