Lorraine Marie Johnson

Lorraine Marie Johnson, age 59, passed away on June 17, 2026 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.

Lorraine Johnson, also known as “German” was born on November 19, 1966 in Park Rapids to Floyd Peter Johnson Sr. and Leona LaRose Johnson. She had 3 brothers, Nick Boylan, Lucas French, Floyd Johnson Jr. and 3 sisters, Lorena Johnson, Lisa Johnson and Loretta Johnson. Lorraine has 8 children, Nancy Fitzloff (Michael West), William Johnson, Crystal Howard (Rich Feldt), Vernon Howard Jr., Collin Howard, Kimberly Howard, Keith Howard, and Megan Nevitt. Lorraine loved her grandchildren Dustin White Jr., Carlina West, Promise West, Sheena West, Michael West Jr., Laila Bruers, Ava Howard, Anavey Anderson, Aliah Wright, Ally Howard and her great grandchild, Waawaatae White. She was excited to have another great grandchild later this year. Lorraine took care of many family members and loved  every one of her nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She enjoyed watching her family grow. She loved the color purple and always rooted for the Vikings!! She also loved going to the casino, especially her Keno machine.

There are so many more family members to add here, like uncles, aunties, and cousins... She was so close to every family member and would help anyone who needed it. She will always be remembered as a woman with a big heart and famous for her frybread. She was a storyteller and would say it’s my story and that's how it went.

She is preceded in death by her father, Floyd Johnson Sr.; Mother, Leona LaRose-Johnson; Sister, Lorena Johnson; her children, Collin Howard, and Megan Nevitt, along with many other loved ones we lost.

A wake will begin at 12 PM on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at the Onigum Community Center and will continue until the service at 10 AM on Thursday, June 25, 2026 with Spiritual Leader Allen Hardy. Pallbearers will be  Lucas French, Vernon Howard Jr, Keith Howard, Michael West, Dustin White Jr. And Arlen Bueno.
