Marcus Golden

Marcus Dean Golden, “Mikinok”, age  23 of West Fargo ND, begin his journey into the spirit world on October 6, 2024 at his home. 

Marcus was born on February 8, 2001, to Richard Golden and Edwina Fajardo in Bemidji, Minnesota.  He attended schools in Red Lake, Redwood Falls, Minnesota and Hankinson, North Dakota.  He later worked for the Seven Clans Casino in Thief River Falls, MN and in the fast-food industry.  Marcus lived in several places including Wahpeton, ND, Red Lake, MN and West Fargo, ND.  He loved spending time with his family and friends playing games and enjoying his animals.

He is preceded in death by his Grandparents Joyce and Harry Golden Sr; sister Heather Golden; two aunts Monica Angrimson and Louise Schmidt. 

Marcus is survived by his Mother Edwina Golden; Father Richard Golden Sr; Brothers Richard (Erin) Golden, Timothy Golden, Steven Golden, Alex Golden; Sisters Selena Golden (Alan), Chasity Fajardo, Victoria Fajardo (Helen), Joyce Golden; nieces and nephews Jasmine, Shelby, Monica, Maxon Sistad; Richard III, Tristan, Kaylani, Timothy Jr, Sierra, Mason, Jaiden Golden and Amiarah Kingbird.

 A traditional wake will begin on Friday, October 11, 2024, at 1:00 PM and continue until the traditional funeral service at 2:00 PM, October 12, 2024 at the Little Rock Community Center, Little Rock, MN. The spiritual leader will be Allen Hardy.  Honorary Pallbearers for Marcus will be Selena Golden, Chasity Fajardo, Victoria Fajardo, Joyce Golden, Helen Goodman, Erin Golden, Esther Sayers and Amiarah Kingbird.  Active pallbearers will be Richard Golden Jr, Steven Golden, Timothy Golden Sr, Alex Golden, John Smith and Dough Colhoff.  The burial will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are by Whispering Pines Funeral & Cremation Service, serving Northern Minnesota.
