Margaret Rose Sigana

Margaret Rose Sigana, age 59, of the Bear Clan, began her journey to the spirit world on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, in Fargo, ND.

Margaret was born on September 17, 1965, in Red Lake, MN, the daughter of Roman and Mary Jane (Jourdain) Sigana. Margaret loved to work. She worked in Warroad River Road, Red Lake Casinos and a Doritos factory in Minneapolis. She stayed in Minneapolis with Cookie and Boy Rainey for years before moving back home to Redby in 1997, got a home and moved her dad in to take care of him from 1998-2002, when he passed onto the spirit world. Margaret loved to go play her free play and cards, be with her family and listen to her music. She loved her grandkids and adored her great-great grandbabies. They were her pride and joy. She helped raise Brianna Sigana, Brittany Smith, Jaydce May, Izaya Sigana and special grandson, Daunte Sigana Sr.

She is survived by her other half, Adrian Spears; daughters: Sabrina Sigana, Felicia (David Jones) Cook; son, Dale Sigana Sr.; special son, David James “Duddy” Jones; eleven grandkids, five great grandkids; sisters: Melissa Sigana, Cora Sigana, Eldora Sigana; brothers: Johnny "Cool" Sigana, Emmanuel Sigana Jr, Mike (Janice) Sigana; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Margaret was preceded into the spirit world by her parents; sisters: Ramona Sigana, Carol Sigana, Wanda Pierre, Luann Sigana; brother, Darrell Sigana; special nephews: Larry and John Sigana; son-in-law: Randy Lee "Bucky" Hanson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The wake will begin at 1PM on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at the New Red Lake Community Center in Red Lake and continue until the service at 1PM on Thursday, August 21, 2025 with Father Tom Niehaus officiating. Active pallbearers will be: Daunte Sigana, Izaya Sigana, Ricky Greene Jr., Dale Sigana Jr., Dale Sigana Sr., David Jones, Dominick Lussier, Johnny “Cool” Sigana, Adrian Spears, Mark Sigana, Konrad Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be: Delylah Lussier, Joyce Keezer, Dennise Sayers, Roseann Spears, Lateisha Lussier, Tonya Lussier, Angela Defoe, Sarah Reynolds, Karen White, Bob Smith, Karen Hanson, Brittany Sigana. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Red Lake, MN. Arrangements provided by Whispering Pines Funeral & Cremation Service, serving Northern Minnesota.
