Martin Robert Raincloud Jr

Martin Robert Raincloud Jr, “Makade-Wigaabo-Ininii”, of the Elk Clan, age 36, from Red Lake, MN, traveled to the spirit world on December 5, 2025 in St Paul, MN.

Marty was truly one of a kind. He had the best sense of humor and was talented in whatever he put his mind to. He loved playing softball and basketball with his friends and family, and he loved hunting and fishing. He was a very gifted artist. Above all, he was a great father, brother, uncle, cousin, son, partner to his girlfriend, and friend to so many! His children were his world, and he was so proud of all of them. He was always the first to step up and help family and friends. His amazing sense of humor and contagious smile will be forever missed by those who knew and loved him.

Those he leaves behind to cherish his memory are his children: Alyncia, Levayah, Martin “Juno” III, and Chanel; his father: Martin Raincloud Sr; sisters: Alicia, Crystal, Showy, Marlene, Shauna, Taleasha, Angel, Aries and Kaylin; brothers: Rob May, Kelton White, Anthony Raincloud and Earl Raincloud Jr; numerous nieces and nephews, including special nieces: Aaliyah Westerman and Cazlyn Raincloud; grandchild: Avaylya Hardy; aunts: Karen, Carol, Ruth, Laurie, Diana and Thelma May, and Connie Raincloud; and uncle: Earl Raincloud Sr.

Those who greeted him in the spirit world are his mother: Roxanne May; maternal grandparents: Herbert “Zemo” May and Melinda May; paternal grandparents: Lorena Raincloud and Raymond Raincloud; aunts: Gloria and Marilyn May, and Marlene Raincloud; uncles: Doug Raincloud, Royce and Delanor Wilson, Herbert May and Bill May; sister: Amy Raincloud; brother: Josh Raincloud; special cousin: Davis Rosebear Sr; numerous other cousins and family.

A wake will begin at 1 PM on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at the New Red Lake Center and will continue until 10 AM on Saturday, December 13, 2025 with Spiritual Leaders Ty Stately and Zac Earley. Active Pallbearers will be Trevor Lussier, Maynard Cloud Jr, Ethan May, Jordan Kingbird, Dallas Martin, Justin Lussier, Dominic Nelson, Anthony Raincloud, Kelton White and Daris Rosebear.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Corey May, Jonathan Mountain, Willy May, Jordan Kingbird, Smidge Iceman, Tharen Iceman, Carene Fineday, Dominick Johnson, Dwight Stately, Polly Desjarlait, Andrea Jourdain, Fran Mendoza, Sammy Desjarlait, Robbie Cook Jr, Daris Rosebear, Cora Rosebear, Darwin Iceman, Earl Raincloud Jr, Randy Kingbird, all of his aunts, uncles and all his softball friends.
