Michael "Bouty" Alan Cook

Michael "Bouty" Alan Cook, age 43, began his journey to the spirit world on Sunday, September 21, 2025 in Red Lake, MN.

Michael was born on December 16, 1981 to Frank Stately Jr and Ramona Stately in Bemidji, MN. Michael liked fishing and hunting, the casino, especially keno, and picking berries. He loved his “smoke sessions” with his friends, loud music on his speakers and playing with his nieces and nephews.

Michael is survived by mother: Ramona Stately; daughters: Aubrieyana Auginash and Audreyana Auginash; son: Beau Martin; siblings: Allie Cook, Cherai Stately, Frank Stately, Brandon Stately, Sheila Erickson, Karen Donnell and Corey Stately Sr; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by father: Frank Stately Jr; son: Darnell Cook; grandparents: Shirley Cook-Burgoon, Frank and Leona Stately Sr; nephew: Jerick Neadeau; and his sidekick: Tiffany Defoe.

A wake will begin at 11 AM on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at the Old Red Lake Center and will continue until the service at 1 PM on Friday, September 26, 2025 with Father Tom Niehaus. Active Pallbearers will be Rod Defoe, Corey Stately Sr, Frank Stately, Brandon Stately, Mick Fasthorse, Anthony Fasthorse, Kurt Tarnow, Mike Brown, Royce Spears, Austin Cook, Eric Neadeau Jr, Justin Desjarlait, Damian Green Sr.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Dave Dez Crew, Kristie Dez, Sheila Erickson, Sherri Erickson, Mary Spears, Hailey Cobenais, Alecia Fairbanks, Donalda Desjarlait, Rosa Stately, Keisha Stately, Starlee Oakgrove, Cheryl Bowstring, Becky & Chum. Burial will be at Family Burial Grounds. Arrangements provided by Whispering Pines Funeral & Cremation Service, serving Northern Minnesota.
