Nancy Elizabeth Hoppe passed away with her beloved husband and daughter at her side on January 4, 2025 at the age of 65.
Nancy was born on February 10, 1959, in Paynesville, Minnesota, to Ralph and Rosie Fuchs. She graduated from Paynesville High School and went on to work in IT, including for Stearns County, CentraCare and Sanford Health.
Nancy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She married the love of her life Steve, on August 25, 1979, welcomed their daughter Melissa and began their life together in Roscoe, MN. From there, they built a home in Becker, MN, and later retired on the lake in Hackensack, MN. Nancy loved being on the lake, waking up to enjoy the sunrise with her endless cups of coffee. The title Grandma came to Nancy in 2018 with the birth of her mini best friend, her granddaughter Dia, whom she loved more than anything. Nancy's retirement was filled with grandma daycare days, and a few weeks of sun wintering on the Gulf in Alabama.
Nancy is survived by her husband Steve of 45 years, her daughter Melissa and son-in-law Andy Grosberg, grand-daughter Amadia, mother Rosie Fuchs, sister Diane (Jim) Buckentine, brother John (Tanyele), mother-in-law Joyce Hoppe, brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws Kevin (Paula), Sheila (Jeff) Spanier, Pat (Kelli), Jody (Mike) Kotschevar, Rod (Jessica), Jenny, Maria (Chris) Croatt, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Ralph Fuchs, brother Mike Fuchs, and father-in-law Pete Hoppe.
