Patrick Ray Tahahwah Jr

Patrick Ray Tahahwah Jr, age 25, of the Bear Clan, began his journey to the spirit world on Sunday, February 16, 2025, in Bemidji, MN.

Patrick was born on August 31, 1999, in Bemidji, MN to Patrick Tahahwah Sr and Shantelle Roberts. Patrick was an avid sports fan who loved to both play and watch sports. He was an excellent pitcher and loved cheering on the Chicago Bears and Timberwolves. Patrick found comfort in nature and enjoyed spending time in the woods, hunting and fishing. He was artistic, free-style rapping whenever the mood hit or singing pow wow music and dancing for his family. He looked forward to trips to the casino to try his luck at Keno and evenings in, watching Lifetime movies with his family. Patrick looked out for his brothers and sisters, always checking in and encouraging them. Above all, he loved his daughters who were his pride and joy in life. Patrick always lit up the room and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters: Alani Barron and Rayciene Tahahwah; father, Patrick Tahahwah Sr (step-mother Jorel Martell); siblings: Shateasha (Joseph May III) Stately, Shareigh Rossbach, Diondre Stately, Brandon Tahahwah, Jaden Wood, Arionna Roberts, Ray Tahahwah, Layla Tahahwah, Shariah Tahahwah, Persais White, Rueben Tahahwah, Noah Tahahwah; paternal grandparents: Lorene Gurneau and Ray Gene Tahahwah; maternal grandparents: Patty Rossbach and Denise Stately; special aunts: Shalaina Stately and Rae Jean Tahahwah "Aunty Gwesha"; special nephew, Dwayne King; special friend, Sheena Gannon; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

A traditional wake will begin at 1PM on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at the New Red Lake Community Center in Red Lake and continue until the service at 10AM on Friday, February 21, 2025 with Henry Flocken as spiritual leader. Active pallbearers will be: Raymond Drouillard, Avery King, Ray Tahahwah, Haydon Spears, Santee Howard, Andrew May, Vernon May Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be: Patrick Edmund Tahahwah, Tyrese Desjarlait, Ray Tahahwah, Eammon Tahahwah, Joseph May, Justyce Lussier, Hunter Beaulieu, Xavier Sayers, Leticia Sumner, Diondre Stately, Brandon Tahahwah, Jaden Wood, Tamia Varney, Stanley Donnell, Cole Cobenais, Sam White Jr, Filee Barron, Edai Graves, Dyllon Johns, Arionna Roberts and Duane Spears III.
