Patrick "Otis" Norquay Obituary

Patrick “Otis” Allen Norquay, age 60, began his journey to the spirit world on December 30, 2025.

Otis was born on April 5, 1965 to Albert “Binger” King and Patricia Morgan. Otis was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved being outdoors in the woods, walking and exploring the woods and finding the best hunting spots. He also loved going to pow wows and spending time at the casino. Otis always had his daughter and grandkids on his mind; he loved them very much and always strived to be there for them. Otis always loved to talk about his memories of being with and traveling the US with the Red Lake fire crew, which he was very proud to have been a part of. Otis liked basketball and lifting weights and liked listening to all kinds of music, especially rock and roll. He attended and graduated from Red Lake High School in 1983. He worked for the Red Lake Forestry for many years, which he enjoyed. Otis enjoyed visiting with family and friends. Whenever someone needed help, he would help, no questions asked.

Otis is survived by his daughter: Shayla Wind; siblings: Kay Norquay, Gerald Norquay, Verlin “Itto” Kingbird Sr, James “Yum” Kingbird, Delbert “Dean” Kingbird, Ronald King, Brenda Sayers, Thelma “Toes” King, Yvette “Eva” Kingbird, Faye King, Lorraine Olson and Theresa King; grandsons: Miko, Daxton and Joseph; Special Friend: Theresa Stately; Special Daughter and family: Tyannah Wind-Whitefeather, Giiwosew Graves and Mary Lou Graves; and numerous family and friends.
