Paul Arthur Blegen, age 90, of Laporte, Minnesota, passed away at his home on Tuesday, August 24, 2021.
Paul was born in Fargo, North Dakota, on June 2, 1931, to Arthur and Alma (Sandquist) Blegen. He grew up and attended school in Moorhead, MN, and went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from NDSU. He started work in Hibbing as an engineer for US Steel. They eventually moved to Hutchinson, MN where they raised their family.
Paul worked as an industrial processing engineer for 3M in Hutchinson for many years and retired in 1998. He and Molly moved to Laporte in 1999 to fulfill their dream of having a home on the lake. He was an avid bird hunter, deer hunter, and trap shooter. He was active in sporting clays in Laporte.
