Phyllis Irene Smith

Phyllis Irene Smith, age 55, of Redby, MN, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at the Sanford Medical Center in Bemidji, MN.

Phyllis was born on June 2, 1965 in Red Lake, MN to Patrick and Irene (Fairbanks) Smith, both of Red Lake.

She enjoyed going to pow-wows and casinos.  She loved music, mostly she loved talking and joking with her siblings, nieces, nephews and making them laugh.  She never forgot a birthday, always making sure everybody got something from her.  She was very caring and generous. 

She is survived by her sisters: Josephine Smith and Gloria Smith both of Redby; brothers:  John A. Smith of Redby, Craig (Rhonda) Smith of Ponemah; Richard Smith Sr. of Cass Lake, MN; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Patrick and Irene Smith; sisters:  Patricia, Mariam (Erma), Cynthia, Valerie, JoAnne and Jennifer; brothers:  Charles Sr., Patrick Jr. and Patrick III.

The wake will begin at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at the Redby Community Center and continue until the service on Monday at 1:00 P.M. with Father Jerry Rogers officiating.
