Rachel Ann McKenzie

Rachel Ann McKenzie, age 35, Duluth, Minnesota, passed away at her home on Sunday, January 10, 2021.

Rachel was born on February 26, 1985, in Minneapolis, MN to Robert Clark and Lorraine McKenzie. She grew up in Red Lake, Minnesota, and graduated from high school with her GED. Rachel was a wonderful mother to her seven children, and although she faced many hard challenges throughout her life, she was a survivor and made the best of her life.  She was a happy, energetic person who loved helping others, doing beadwork, and taking a good walk.

Rachel is survived by her parents Robert and Lorraine; daughters Karma Strong 19, Sharon Rosebear 14, Victoria Rosebear 13, Vivian Rosebear 10, Barbara Rosebear 3, and Infiniti Rosebear 1; son Jesse Rosebear 11; grandchildren Sophia Strong and Cain Romero; brothers Wagoosh Banks, Robert McKenzie, Leon McKenzie, William ‘Billy’ Littlewolf and Boozer Banks; sisters Amanda McKenzie and Ione McKenzie; nieces Ione, Charity, and Kathleen; nephew Michael; and several other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A traditional wake for Rachel will begin on Thursday, January 14, 2021, at 1:00 PM at the Redby Center, Redby, MN, and will continue until the service on Friday, January 15, at 11:00 AM. Allen Hardy will serve as Spiritual Leader. Casketbearers will be Wagoosh Banks, Boozer Banks, Robert McKenzie, William Littlewolf, Leon McKenzie, and DJ Neadeau. Honorary Casketbearers will be all her family and friends. Interment will follow at the Redby Episcopal Cemetery.
