Randi Jo English, age 59, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2023 at the Havenwood Care Center in Bemidji, Minnesota. She was born on September 10, 1963 to Douglas & Peggy Ann (Merritt) Muklebust in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Randi grew up in Sleepy Eye and New Ulm. She attended and graduated from New Ulm Christian School as Valedictorian in the Class of 1982. Randi attended Northland Baptist Bible College for 3 years before marrying Norman (Mike) English in 1988. Randi and Mike lived in the Kincheloe, Michigan area for 5 years, then in Eagle River, Wisconsin, where their son Tyler was born. As a Pastor’s wife, they moved and served several congregations over the years. They lived the last several years in Lake George before Randi moved to Havenwood in Bemidji. Randi was a very loving and caring person and that came through as a stay-at-home wife and mother and serving as a Pastor’s wife. Randi loved to do crafts and was into scrapbooking before it was called scrapbooking! She had a ministry even while in the nursing home where she was known for her cheeful disposition. Randi would greet the new residents that were struggling to adjust and be an encouragement to them. She loved her apple decorations and was especially fond of her Teddy Bear collection. Randi loved the color purple!
Randi is survived by her husband Mike; son Tyler; sister Melanie (Victor) Klassen of New Ulm; brothers Craig (Gwen) Muklebust of Delano, Bret (Lori) Muklebust of Bemidji, Kelly (Julie) Muklebust of Savage and Kyle (Christie) Muklebust of New Ulm; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Doug and Peggy Muklebust.
