Reginald Beaulieu Obituary

Reginald John Beaulieu Sr, “Roach” of the Eagle Clan, age 78, began his journey to the spirit world on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 in Kelliher, MN.

Reginald was born on January 13, 1947 to Roman and Betty Beaulieu. Hobbies he enjoyed included playing at the casino and hitchhiking to Gillies. He was an artist and liked to fish and hunt. Reginald went to school for Culinary and a self-taught Mechanic. He always had a story to tell and was a character in his younger years. He was a lady charmer, loved to enjoy his beers and Jose. He was the center of attention at family gatherings by saying, “Here’s Johnny!”  He enjoyed the Kelliher School, especially Mr. Lundin’s 5th grade class to do crafts, play cribbage and visit with his great-nephews Zur & Chucky and great-niece Le-Aira Jourdain. He worked in Minneapolis and Chicago in his younger years, then at Thief River Falls & Red Lake Casinos. He helped build and construct the Thief River Falls Casino and Waterpark.

Reginald is survived by siblings: Nellie (Charlie) Charnoski, Ramona Needham, Joyce Fowler, Randy “Geesh” Needham and sister-in-law Debbie Beaulieu; children: Reggie Beaulieu, Raquel Beaulieu, Cecilee Beaulieu, Jonnie Jo Beaulieu, Shanea Smith; step-children: Lance, Jason & Kevin Hart, Barry, Monte, Keith & Jerry King, Dustin Jourdain & Alicia Hardy; special daughter-in-law: Joy Morris; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and ex-wife Diane Beaulieu.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Roman & Betty Beaulieu; brothers: Roman, Frank, Bill and Rocky Beaulieu; brother-in-law: Ron Fowler; ex-wife: Connie Beaulieu; significant other: Shirley Smith; grandparents: Eliza & Selam Head, Peter & Cecilia Beaulieu; many special brothers; nieces: Deidra Beaulieu, Charise St. John and Maloree Strong; nephews: Junior Needham and Rob Charwood; and a grandson.

Wake will begin at 1 PM on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at the Redby Community Center and continue until the funeral at 1 PM on Monday, January 27, 2025. Active Pallbearers will be Charlie “Whee” Charnoski, Ray Charnoski, Austin Needham, Ke'Ontay Evans, Xzarin Beaulieu, Jonathan Beaulieu, Hunter Beaulieu and Mike Dahman. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kelly Needham, Donnie Needham, Randy “Maushie” Needham, Mary E. Cook, Cherilyn Spears, Bobbi “Itty” Beaulieu, Gary Thunder, Dane Clark, Doug English, Billy Jack Schoenborn Sr, Gerald Spears, George Head, Gary Head, Jason Head, Jan Head, Lance Hart, Jason Hart, Barry King, Monte King, Jerry King, Keith King, Angela Charnoski, Zur Charnoski, Charles Senogals, Le’Aira Jourdain, Tom Charnoski Jr, Jim Dudley, Emily McBride and the Kelliher-Cornerstone Residents & Staff.  Arrangements provided by Whispering Pines Funeral & Cremation Service of Walker & Hackensack, MN.
