Robert Wendell May Jr

Nah-nun (Robert) Wendell May Jr, age 43, of Red Lake, Minnesota started his journey to the spirit world on Saturday, October 21, 2023 in Red Lake, Minnesota. Robert was born on April 30, 1980 in Red Lake to Robert W. May Sr and Frances (Hoagland) May.

He grew up and lived in Red Lake and Minneapolis. He worked as a roofer, commercial fisherman and mechanic. He also worked at the casino and Home Depot. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, mechanic “stuff”, “casinoing” and the outdoors. Robert was always willing to help others and he was good with the little ones in the family.

Robert is survived by his mom Frances May, brother Keith (Leah) May, sisters Jennifer May, Annie Granroos, Janice May and Laura Wass; sons Bezhig Cole and Nygel P. May; daughter Adrianna Marielee Livingston; and many, many relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his dad Robert W. May Sr; grandparents Joe and Martha May, Leland Hoagland and Vera Wakemup; and numerous relatives and friends.

The wake will begin at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at the Old Red Lake Center and continue until the service at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 26, 2023 with Spiritual Leader Ty Stately. Active Casketbearers will be Vaughn Day, Jordan May, Justice May, Tyler May, David L. May, Leland Mark Hoagland, Rory Wakemup and Joseph Hoagland. Honorary Casketbearers will be all relatives and friends. Burial will be in the May Family Burial Grounds.
