Roberto Gomez Obituary

Roberto J. Manzano Gomez, age 31, started his journey to the spirit world on Friday, February 7, 2025 in Minneapolis, MN.

Roberta graced this earth on June 17, 1993, the son of Ellen Dick. He was born in Minneapolis, MN, but grew up in Cass Lake (Oak Point). Roberto always had a smile on his face ever since he was young. Growing up, he always loved to play basketball. He grew up with one of his sister, Kimberly Dick. He really loved her. He had 2 boys, Robert and Money G. He loved his kids a lot; they were his world. Later he moved to the cities; it didn’t take long for him to get to know people. Roberto liked to help others. The ones that he could help would make him feel good because he liked doing for others. His heart was big for the people he met in his life when he moved to the cities. He passed that warmth in his heart to others and let them feel the warmth of a young man that cared and loved to help. That’s the one thing that I really could say that made him a part of who he was – that kind heart. People knew that he was a good young boy and always talked about how helpful he was with the respect, kindness and happiness and the warmth of his good heart; that’s all they could see of my son. He was here in life because he had a special purpose to be here and that he wanted to be different and to do better; however, his life ended short. Our wonderful son, Roberto Gomez, is in our hearts and will always be in our thoughts and never be forgotten. He had his sister, Alejandra, and she called him burnthole. He was so happy and proud of her for being sober. She loved how strong-minded he was and always stood on ten toes. His niece, Mancela, and he would play basketball; he also loved his nephew, Lucio, and other niece, Mativeya. We care for him deeply. He loved his grandma Marian; when he was younger, she called him Burbo. He always made sure she was straight or if she needed chores around the house done. He loved her deeply and always made sure she knew it. She will always be thinking of him. He will be deeply missed.
