Ronald Russell Anderson Sr, age 80, of Esko, Minnesota passed away on March 16, 2024. He was born on June 3, 1943 to Russell and Lawanda (Baker) Anderson.

He grew up in Hermantown and graduated from Hermantown High School in 1961. He married Judy Brown and joined the Navy in 1962. He worked as a diesel mechanic until he was injured in 1980. He loved hunting and fishing and most of all woodworking.

Ronald is survived by his brother Jerry in New Mexico; sister Nancy in Esko; daughter Laura Anderson-Stone and son-in-law Jeff Stone of Saginaw; son Ronald Anderson Jr; grandchildren Anja Anderson and Charlie Anderson; and great granddaughter Nova Anderson of Perry, GA; 2 nieces and many nephews; and lifelong friends Jerry Grote, David Halverson and Ed Dammer, all of Hermantown.

Services will be on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Veteran’s Cemetery, 4777 Highway 53, Saginaw, Minnesota.
