Roseanne Marie Jackson, age 42, of the Bear Clan, began her journey to the spirit world from Essentia Health in Fargo, South Dakota, on Friday, November 5, 2021.
Rose was born on December 25, 1978, in Bemidji, MN to Ernie Hunt and Ramona Jackson. She grew up in the Walker area where she attended school, graduating from Bug-O-Nay-Ge-Shig High School. Rose moved to Bemidji where she set up her home and raised her daughter. She enjoyed activities with her family, going out to eat and cooking and old-school rap music. She is lovingly remembered as a happy, strong-willed and independent woman.
Rose will be greatly missed by her daughter Saze Jackson, mother Ramona Jackson, brother Peter Jackson, sister Amy Jackson, and many more family and friends. She was preceded in death by sister Jennifer Smith; brothers Randy Jackson; grandpa Fred Jackson; and father Ernie Hunt.
A traditional wake will begin Thursday, November 11, 2021, at 5:00pm at the Onigum Community Center, and will continue until the service on Saturday, November 13, at 10:00am. Allen Hardy will serve as Spiritual Advisor. Pallbearers caring for Rose are Peter Jackson, Nate Hunt, Boomer Jackson, Thomas Jackson, Dario Cordova, Makya Jackson, Todd Marweg, and Delavontae Cordova. Honorary Pallbearers will be Saze Jackson, Daniel Jackson, and Delavontae Cordova. Burial will follow at Old Agency Catholic Cemetery, Onigum.
