Sharee Lynette Barrett

Sharee Lynette Barrett, age 38, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, began her journey to the spirit world on Thursday, November 12, 2020, in her city of Minneapolis.

Sharee was born July 10, 1981 to Natalie M. Barrett and Robert DeMarr Sr. She grew up living in St. Paul during her childhood years and then lived in Minneapolis most of her adult life. She attended the Red School House and eventually received her GED. Sharee had recently graduated from a treatment program and was in the process of getting her own place. She was very proud of these accomplishments.

Sharee was always a very happy person, and she enjoyed making others happy. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was fond of music and, in her younger years,  enjoyed dancing in powwows. Sharee always had a smile on her face, and she hated to see anyone else sad or not feeling good. She was a beautiful person inside and out and had a giving spirit. She would give a person anything she could offer if it helped. She will be dearly missed by all the people in her life.

Sharee will be welcomed to the spirit world by her parents; grandmother Marlene Barrett; grandfathers Charles “Skunky” Barrett and Roger Gurneau; aunts Alvera Barrett and Kimberly Barrett; uncles Leland Sayers and Charles “Skunky” Barrett Jr.; and numerous cousins, friends and family. Those she leaves behind are her brothers Tyrone Barrett (Jessica) and Robert DeMarr Jr. (Eileen Smith); sisters Patricia Barrett (Kenny), Nakita Barrett “Jarred” and Amber Barrett (Victor); her special friend and companion Artudo Ruvalcaba; and brother-in-law Sergio Ruvalcaba.

A wake for Sharee will begin Monday, November 23, 2020, at 5:00pm at the Little Rock Center, Little Rock, MN, and will continue until the service on Wednesday, November 25, 2020, at 10:00AM. Pallbearers will be Tyrone Barrett, Robert DeMarr, Jr., Daryl Barrett, Travis Varney, Leroy Varney, and Sergio Ruvalcaba. Honorary pallbearers will be all of Sharee's family and friends.
