Sheila Goodteacher

Sheila Ronelle Goodteacher, age 37, started her journey to the spirit world on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, from Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.

Sheila was born on January 13, 1987, in Red Lake, MN to Ron Schoenborn and Celeste “Cookie” Goodteacher Erickson. She grew up in the Mahquambay area with her grandparents, Myrna and Cliff Hardy. She went to school in the Red Lake District. Sheila loved being with family, especially her children: Angel, Shawn, Christina and her granddaughter, Jesse. She had a huge loving heart and helped when and wherever she could.

She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her parents: Ron Schoenborn and Cookie (Tony) Erickson; brothers: Ron Goodteacher, Tim Goodteacher; children: Angel Hardheart, Shawn Hardheart, Christina Grafal and granddaughter, Jesse Jamez Lussier; maternal grandparent, Cletus Goodteacher; paternal grandmother, Beverly Schoenborn; two aunts: Shelly R. Schoenborn, Shari L. Hardy; uncle: Sheldon Schoenborn; as well as many other relatives and friends.

Sheila was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents: Myrna and Cliff Hardy; paternal grandfather, Truman R. Schoenborn; paternal great-grandmother, Lucille Auginash; aunts: Sheila M. Schoenborn, Karen Goodteacher and Trudi R. Schoenborn.

A traditional wake will begin at Noon on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at the Redby Community Center in Redby and continue until the service at 10AM on Monday, September 2, 2024, with Allen Hardy as spiritual leader. Active pallbearers will be: Ron Goodteacher, Tim Goodteacher, Robin Hardy, Joe Jackson, Memphis Hardy, Juelz Hardy, Tyrone Schoenborn, Jr., Tony Erickson, Dan Erickson, Tyson Deserly. Honorary pallbearers will be: Chelsea Deserly, Brande Stillday, Chris Grafal, Ron Perkins, Megan Wilson, Teesha Lafave, Val Donnell, Shelly Schoenborn, Shelly English. Burial will be at the family burial grounds near Ponemah, MN.
