Shelly Ann Whitefeather

Shelly Ann Whitefeather, age 50, “Half Pint” “Shelly Belly” “Bizhiw” of the Kingfisher Clan, began her journey to the spirit world on December 22, 2025, surrounded by her family at Sanford Medical Center in Bemidji, MN.

Shelly was born on March 10, 1975 to Roderick and Carol (Norcross) Whitefeather Sr in Red Lake, MN. Shelly went to school in Ponemah, Wahpeton School, Anderson Middle School and Bemidji High School. She lived in Ponemah, Kelliher, Minneapolis, Moorhead and she made Bemidji her home. She worked in housekeeping at Doubletree. Shelly had a contagious laugh. She was a talented dancer when she was younger and she liked rap music. She was a loyal Green Bay Packers fan!  She liked to round up family for gatherings. She was very social and liked collecting items to gift to family. She loved her family and she always checked on them. Shelly loved to cook and enjoyed doing arts and crafts.

Shelly is survived by her father: Roderick Whitefeather Sr; children: Ryshaun Whitefeather-Cloud and Maria Whitefeather-Cloud (James); brothers: Corey Whitefeather and Runninghorse Livingston; sisters: Lisa Whitefeather (James), Melissa Whitefeather and Katie Denomie: numerous nieces and nephews; and her special friend: Charles Headbird.

She is preceded in death by her mother: Carol (Norcross) Whitefeather; brother: Roderick Whitefeather Jr; sister: Stacy Whitefeather; grandparents: Isaac & Josephine Whitefeather and Genevieve Adams & Harvey Bellanger Sr; great-grandfather: William Norcross Sr; nieces: La’Chele Whitefeather, Taylor Whitefeather; Pangishimo Lemieux; nephew: Corey Whitefeather Jr; aunt: Marilyn Stillday; uncle: Ronald Whitefeather Sr; and her childhood friend: Sherri Thomas.

A wake will begin at 3 PM on Sunday, December 28, 2025 at the Ponemah Boys & Girls Club and will continue until the service at 10 AM on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 with Spiritual Leader Mike Needham. Active Casketbearers will be Keegan Enright, Avery Stillday, Leon Donnell, Jake Shaleen-Cloud, Randy “Old School” White Sr, Ray Adams, Elliot Cloud Jr, Marlyn Black Jr. Alternates: Reginald White, James Cloud Jr, Cyrus Frye-Dixon, James Parkhurst Jr, Aaron Weitzel Sr, Kendall Whitefeather, Vince White, James Cloud III.  Honorary Casketbearers will be Debra Cournoyer, Feather Badillo, Bonnie White, Roselin White, Kristie Keppel, Patricia Jorgenson, Cynthia Adams, Vickey Fineday, Eunice Whitefeather, Rosemarie Cloud, Agnes White, Kimberly Whitefeather, Kara Stillday, Tyann Stillday, Jody Bellanger, Bonita Whitefeather, Ruby Whitefeather, Sharon (Duane) Columbus, Neoka Roybal and her Park Place family. Burial will be at the White Family Burial Grounds next to her beloved mother. Arrangements provided by Whispering Pines Funeral & Cremation Service, serving Northern Minnesota.
