Terrell David Stately Ogema Benais, Bear Clan, age 24, of Redby, MN travelled to the spirit world on Friday, December 22, 2023.

Terrell was born on August 8, 1999, in Bemidji, MN to Corey L. Stately and Sonja Jones. He was raised by his grandparents, Ty and Diane Stately along with his little brother Tyrell “Bean”.  When he was a young boy, he loved Scooby Doo cartoons and got the nickname of Doo. Terrell was very proud of his welders certificate. He worked for the Fishery and later the Casino.

He loved working on cars and four wheelers, going for joy rides, smoking and listening to music. Terrell collected animated toy figures. He enjoyed walking in the woods, playing softball, video games and wrestling with his siblings. He was a traditional dancer as a young man, attended many powwows over the years and also learned how to do sugar bush. He was an excellent hunter, was always with his Bro Bean, and the two were looking forward to ice fishing. He was the best son, dad, bro, uncle, nephew and grandson, loved his niece CataLina dearly and will be remembered for his heart of gold. Family was everything to Terrell. He loved nothing more than spending time with his son, Trason, family and friends.

He will be lovingly remembered by his son, Trason David Stately; parents: Corey L. Stately and Sonja Jones; paternal grandparents who raised him: Diane and Ty Stately; maternal grandparents: Lisa White and Myron Jones Sr.; siblings: Tyrell, Nicole, Tevaugn, Ceigh, Shawna Leigh, Tjay, Vivian, Margaret, Maurice, Kiley, Mikaela, NaKiah, Stephen, Russell, Tristan; nieces: CataLina Jo and Naomi; nephew: Tay Vaugn; several aunts, uncles and many other relatives and friends.

Those greeting him in the spirit world are: his brother, Latrell Stately; maternal great-grand parents: Simon and Rose White and Fred and Julia Jones; paternal great-grand parents: Leonard and Vivian Stately and Donna Spears; great-great-grandparents: Fannie Clark and Joseph and Josephine Howard; uncle, Pete White, auntie, Chelsie Clark and several other relatives.

A traditional wake will begin at 1PM on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at the Redby Community Center in Redby and continue until the service at 10AM on Thursday, December 28, 2023 with Zac Earley as spiritual leader. Active pallbearers will be: Leo Kingbird Jr., Lamonte White, Guy Stately Jr., Daris Rosebear, Dakota Strong, Martel Strong, with alternates: Rain Stately and Brandon Howard Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be: Tracey Cook, Aalayah Hart, Daryl Bohn, Aiyana White, Anavey White, Kyrell Howard, Jared Spears, Charly Buckanaga, Brittany May, Zach Stately, Nick Howard, Riley Chaboyea, Anthony Benais, AmeLia Benais, Sheri Clark and Robert Lussier. Burial will be at the Stately Family Burial Grounds in Redby. Arrangements provided by Whispering Pines Funeral & Cremation Service of Walker & Hackensack, MN.
