Todd "Toddy" J. Barrett Jr

Todd “Toddy” J. Barrett Jr., age 25, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2024 in Red Lake, MN.

Toddy was born January 25, 1999 in Bemidji, Minnesota to Stephanie Lawrence and Todd Barrett, Sr. 

Toddy attended school in Red Lake and Bemidji, and graduated from Red Lake High School in 2018. Toddy liked to play games on his computer and Nintendo DS. He taught himself how to play guitar and liked to listen to a wide variety of music and it showed he had 1ooo’s of songs on his IPOD. He loved attending concerts with his family.  He liked to ride around on his 4-wheeler, and he liked to play darts and pool with his dad. And liked to go fishing with is nephew Jordan. Toddy always had a big smile on his face and told you he loved you when parting ways, and was the life of the party and always made people laugh.

Those left to cherish his memories are his: Grandma Billie Jean Strong; Parents Todd Sr. and Char Barrett; Step-dad David Cronin; Brothers: Rashaun Lawrence, David “Big Guy” Cronin Jr., Luis Cruz-Bautista, Mike (Tara) Roberts and Anthony Roberts; Sisters: Chalina Johns, Sierra Cronin, Olivia Cronin, Adriana Cruz-Bautista. Aunts: Chelsi Barrett, Star Wind; Uncles: Randy Lee Barrett, Terry Wind, Nodin Wind; Grand Fathers: Francis Lawrence and Randy C Barrett; Niece: Angel Needham and Nephews: Jordan Kingbird-Barrett and Grayson “Bub” Cruz-Bautista; Special Grand Parents: Mike and Eve Beaulieu; Special Aunt and Uncle: Cheryl (Greg) Thomas and Jon (Jess) Roberts; Special Brothers: Allen Jr., Alex and Aaron English; Numerous other Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and fur baby, Kitty.

Family greeting Toddy are: his mother, Stephanie Lawrence; aunt, Theresa Lawrence; grandmother, Frances Raiford as well as many other relatives.

The wake will begin at 1PM on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at the New Red Lake Community Center in Red Lake and continue until the service at 1PM on Thursday, April 11, 2024, with Father John Christianson officiating.  Active Pallbearers: David “Big Guy” Cronin, Mike Roberts, Terry Wind, Chaz Lawrence, Allen English Jr, Alex English, Aaron English and Quentin Strong.  Honorary Pallbearers: Steve Strong, Chelsi Barret, Sierra Cronin, Olivia Cronin, Luis Cruz-Bautista, Adriana Cruz-Bautista, Jordan Kingbird-Barrett, Angel Needham, Jacob Hazelton, Star and Nodin Wind.
