Travis Juarez

Travis Gene Juarez, age 42, began his journey to the spirit world on Sunday, January 12, 2025 in Red Lake, MN.

Travis was born in Red Lake, MN on October 29, 1982 to McKinley “Bill” Auginash Jr and Phyllis Juarez. Travis was an outdoorsman. He loved to hunt, fish, trap, seasonal maple sugar camps, and included his children and nephews and nieces in teaching them what he knew. He also liked to visit his friends and family to smoke and catch up. He liked to visit casinos and gamble. At home he liked to cook, grill and take care of those around him.

Travis is survived by his parents; sister, Dacia Juarez; brothers: Harrison Juarez and McKinley (Linda) Auginash Jr; proud father of children: Travis Juarez Jr, Andre Frances, Kelly Matt and Lily Juarez. He was also a proud uncle to his many nieces and nephews, many times giving them funny nicknames; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Winnifred Juarez and Marcus Juarez; paternal grandparents: McKinley Auginash Jr and Marcella Auginash; nephews: Levi Auginash and Kingson Juarez; great aunts and uncles. 

A wake will begin at 11 AM on Friday, January 17, 2025 at the Redby Community Center and continue until the service at 1 PM on Saturday, January 18, 2025. Active Pallbearers will be Keith Beaulieu Jr, Robin Auginash, Martin Juarez, Dale Sigana, Ryan Auginash, Harrison Juarez, McKinley Auginash III, Red Buffalo Welch. Alternates will be Ian Auginash and Jeremy Hoggarth. Honorary Pallbearers will be Travis Juarez Jr, Andre Frances, Lily Juarez, Jerri Cook, Dacia Juarez, Kelly Matt, Willard Yellowbird, Roger Hoggarth, Henry Donnell Jr, Rachele Donnell, Gilbert Juarez, Vickie Juarez, Stephanie Juarez, Theresa Juarez, Ian Auginash, Oliver Johnson, Jerry Cook Sr, Meghan Thompson, Albert Stately, Chad Auginash and Fred Auginash Sr. Burial will be at the Juarez Burial Grounds in Redby.
