Trista Lynn Jackson

Trista Lynn Jackson, age 28, began her journey to the spirit world on Friday, February 7, 2025 in Red Lake, MN.

Trista was born on September 18, 1996 to Gary Jackson Sr and Roselyn Johnson in Minneapolis, MN.  Trista was the best mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend that anyone could ask for. She was outgoing, kind, friendly, loving, fierce, definitely a “hustler” and was beautiful inside and out. She loved her family and friends deeply. Her children were her world and they always came first. Her and her mom and brothers shared a close and loving bond that will continue forever. She loved and was loved very deeply by her family and friends. Trista loved to cruise, gamble and hang out with both cousins and friends. She loved helping out others in need, especially her mom and elders.

Trista is survived by her mom: Roselyn; father: Gary Sr; children: Kaeli and Mathias; brothers: Darin, Gary II, Brandon and Ricky (Leisha); grandfather: Gary; special uncle: Kenny; niece: Cassidy; and special brother: Dylan; aunts, uncles, her beloved nephews and nieces, many cousins and too many friends to name.

She was preceded in death by her grandmothers: Margaret “LadyBug” and Debra; grandfather: Earl; an angel baby; great-grandparents: Susie & Fred; uncles: Mit, Harley, Muskie, Terry and Kelly; aunts: Jodi and Bomber; nephew: Darin; cousins: Duane and Andy; her daughter’s father and grandmother: Tyler and Angela Wind; and many other family and friends who left too soon.

Trista definitely lived up to her family nickname – the “White Devil” but she was the most kind, loving and generous person you would ever want to know. Losing Trista was a devastating and tremendous loss to her mom, dad, brothers, children, nephews, nieces and family. She was one of a kind and will be missed dearly.

Wake will begin at 12 PM on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at the Redby Center and will continue until the service at 1 PM on Saturday, February 15, 2025 with Willie Strong officiating. Active Pallbearers will be Darin, Gary II, Brandon, Ricky, Kenny, Zack, DeeMan, Derek and Tom. Alternates: Dan, Bill, Anthony, Chris, Melvin, Jerry and John. Honorary Pallbearers will be uncles: Bruce, Jerry and Jeff; aunts: Erlene, Brenda, Tammy and Wendy; Godmother: Jo Dudley; cousins: Barbie, Amariah, Ashley, Nel, Kendra, Mary, Angele and Frank, Sherri, Rachael, Lindsay, LeAnna, Terri, Kari, Tesha, Lis; her nieces, nephews, cousin Clayton and all her family and friends, especially the RPG family.
