Troy D. Friend Jr

Troy Dean Friend Jr. age 31, journeyed to the spirit world on July 28, 2024, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. 

Troy was born on June 3, 1993, in Minneapolis to Troy Friend Sr. and Vivian Fairbanks.  He was raised in Minneapolis and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.  Troy was a kindhearted person who loved joking around and always had a big smile on his face.  He especially loved spending time with his son, Princeton. 

Troy is survived by his son Princeton; Father Troy Friend Sr.; Mother Vivian Fairbanks; sisters Clarissa Fairbanks, Leona Fairbanks, Autum Bruce, Binasi Friend; Brothers Delfin Friend, Banner Friend.   Special friend Ronnie King. 

He was preceded by his grandparents, Leo and Margaret Fairbanks, Dorthy Stanley and Noel Friend. 

The wake will begin at 4PM on Friday, August 2, 2024 at the Minnesota Indians Women's Resource Center in Minneapolis & continue until the service at 11AM on Monday, August 5, 2024. Honorary pallbearers will be: Donald Oakgrove, Jayden Fairbanks, Nick Monson Jr., Michael Iceman, Joseph Fairbanks, Princeton King.  The pallbearers will be: Troy Friend Sr., Dennis Robinson, Les Robinson, Gordon Fairbanks, Pip Stanley, Nick Monson, Sr., Terrence Thunder Jr. and Lee Roberts.   Arrangements provided by Whispering Pines Funeral & Cremation Service of Walker & Hackensack, MN (whisperingpinesnorth.com).
