In Loving Cherished Memory Of Vivian “Tinny” Clark, Ozaawaa Waabigwanamo “Yellow Flower on the Water” Graced This Earth on September 26, 1934 in Red Lake, MN and Began Her Journey on July 24, 2025.
Vivian was Born in Red Lake MN to her parents, Richard & Ida Spears. She began her journey at the Red Lake Hospital on July 24, 2025. She was raised in Red Lake MN along with her siblings Irene, Margaret, Roger, Donald, Richard “Gudy”, and Johnnie Spears. She met & married Vernon Clark, they started their family together and resided Redby MN. They spent their entire lives together until the passing of her beloved husband Vernon. Tinny worked at the Red Lake Hospital as a nurse’s aide for many years and eventually transferred to the housekeeping department until she retired. Before becoming ill, Tinny’s favorite pastime was going to the casino in the surrounding areas to Gamble. In her spare-time she enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, and cooking. She was very well respected in the community and always had a smile for everyone she met. She had a very special place in her heart for all her grandchildren, whom she loved very much.
Tinny is survived by her daughter: Valerie Clark; sons: Wayne Clark, Vernon “Peep” Clark, Jr (Marie), Darrell “Dane” Clark, and Rick Clark (Tessa) and foster son Nick Jones. Sister: Margaret “Muggs” Branchaud: Brother: Johnnie Spears: special daughter: Kari Ann Spears (Don); special granddaughters: Janelle Clark, Laresha Clark, Alexis Fairbanks, Teiasha Fairbanks and Tameeka Groves; special grandson: Kyle Clark; 18 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Welcoming her home into the spirit world is her husband: Vernon Clark, Sr.; parents: Ida & Richard Spears; sister Irene Clark; brothers: Roger Spears, Donald Spears and Richard Spears; daughters: Vernelle Clark and Sherry Clark; grandsons: Patrick Clark, Rickie Clark, Adrian Parkhurst, Robbie Parker; and great-granddaughter: Kayln Anderson.
A wake will begin at 1 PM on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at the Redby Community Center and will continue until the service at 2 PM on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 with Father Bill Butcher. Active Pallbearers will be Rick Clark, Clayton Jourdain Jr, Stanley Clark, Devin Clark, Roger Ravensborg Jr, Dakota Strong and Gary Dudley. Alternates: Tyrell Branchaud and Jared Herman. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rebecca Groves, Diane Howard, Barb Thunder, Sissie Clark, Aleisha White, Kevin Spears, Ardella Clark, Kari Ann Spears, Alexis Fairbanks, Teiasha Fairbanks, Tameeka Groves, Janelle Clark, Laresha Clark, Kendra Clark, Karen Bedeau, Georgianna Jourdain, Austin Jones, Vincent Desjarlait, Kyle Clark, Austin Jones and Marie Neadeau. Burial will be at the Episcopal Cemetery in Redby, MN. Arrangements provided by Whispering Pines Funeral & Cremation Service of Northern Minnesota.
