Wayne Brown Obituary

Wayne Keith Brown passed away on Friday, June 30th, 2023 at the Red Lake IHS Hospital.

Wayne was born on January 3rd, 1954 to David Brown Sr. and Alice Brown (Sumner). He worked as a young man for the Red Lake Police Department as a Police Officer; Bus Driver for the Red Lake School District for many years; and Bus Driver for Red Lake Gaming before retiring in 2021.

Survivors include daughters Linda LB Stately and Shannon Brown; sons Jeremy Brown Sr., Jeffrey (Tonya) Brown and Brannon Brown. sisters Ramona Brown and Carol Brown; brothers Bruce Roy, David Brown Jr., Earl (Lisa) Brown and Patrick Brown; 10 grandchildren including granddaughter Heaven Red Cloud; and special grandson Dan "paw patrol" Lyons Jr.

Proceeded in death by parents David and Alice; daughter Arlene Brown; sisters Dorla Brown and Angela Brown; brother Julius Brown.

Wake will begin 1:00 PM on Friday, July 7th, 2023 at the Red Lake Center and continue until the service on Saturday, July 8th, 2023 at 1:00 PM with Fr. Joseph John Kennady. Burial to follow at the family burial site. Active Pallbearers will be Dylan Stately, Dean Stately, James Brown, Ron Day, Ryan Feather, Michael Melikan Sr., Alternate Mitch Lusser. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dale Augustine, Chief Gerald May Sr., Rhonda May, Danielle May, Shanoah May, Sharon Rosebear, Wayne Johnson, Kathy Anderson and Myron Jones.
