Wilbur "Weeb" Stillday

Wilbur “Weeb” Stillday, “Wiin-de-goons”, Bear Clan, age 73, of Redby, MN, travelled to the spirit world on Thursday, March 3, 2022.

Weeb was born on November 17, 1948, in Ponemah, MN, to Thomas and Lucy (Johnson) Stillday, Sr.  He worked at Port Rehab in Duluth, MN, as a janitor before moving back to Ponemah and later, Redby. He travelled to pow wows with the Black Bear Crossing and loved to sing with them. He helped out in ceremonies as well. He also liked to go to casinos, visit with family and friends and fish.

Those greeting him in the spirit world are his parents; siblings:  Warren Stillday, Sr., Percy Stillday, Thomas Stillday, Jr., Bruce Stillday, Sr., Bertha Kingbird, Adella Northbird, Joyce Black, Lucy Lillian Greenleaf as well as aunts, uncles and grandparents.

He will be remembered by his special friend, Patricia Norquay and his nieces and nephews.

The wake will begin at Noon on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at the Ponemah Boys & Girls Club in Ponemah and continue until the service at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, March 10, 2022. The spiritual leaders will be Zac Earley and Ty Stately. Active casketbearers will be: Elias Dow, Kent Kingbird, Loren Stillday, Matthew Johnson, Wesley Cloud, Jr., Kyle Stillday, Gerald Norquay and Todd Johnson.  Alternates will be: Kenton Stillday, Dale Kingbird, Dwight Greenleaf, Richard Clark, Patrick Greenleaf and Lorenzo White. Honorary casketbearers will be: Patricia Norquay, Roberta Greenleaf, Carol S. Spears, Sharon Kingbird, Lois Northbird, Brenda Northbird, Patrick Northbird, Gary Greenleaf, Valerie Stillday, Tom Stillday, Jr., Bonita Kingbird, Rose Cloud, Vicky Fineday, Donna Greenleaf, Darcy Benais, Elva Nelson, Bruce Stillday, Jr., Darrell Seki, Jr. and Earl Fairbanks.  Burial will be at the Ponemah Family Burial Grounds in Ponemah.
