William Robert Kingbird Sr

William Robert Kingbird Sr, of the Eagle Clan, age 42, began his journey to the spirit world on Monday, January 13, 2025 in Fargo, North Dakota.

William was born on June 6, 1982 in Crosby, MN to Euwin Caldwell and Doris Kingbird. He was known for his humor. He worked at the casino and fisheries. William liked fishing and cooking, playing and watching basketball, going to the casino and spending time with his children, who were his world.

William is survived by his parents: Doris Kingbird and Euwin Caldwell; sons: Brenden “Benny” Dow, William Robert Kingbird Jr, Grady John Kingbird and Kacen Leighton Kingbird; daughters: Mylei Andrea Kingbird and Emily Loette Kingbird; brothers: Garritte (Michelle) Caldwell, Jerritte (Jackie) Caldwell Sr, Mickey French, Randall White Sr, Kenny Caldwell and Tyrell Patterson; sisters: RayJean French, Jolene (Kadane) Riley, Aleisha Caldwell, Collette Kingbird and Miranda White; significant other: Danielle Maxwell; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Jack and Lucille Kingbird and Lyman Kingbird; paternal grandparents: Jeanette and Harrison Caldwell; sisters: Lucynda, Stephanie and Lorrette, GariLynn and Kimberly Caldwell; uncles: Ronnie, Edmund Sr, Gerald and Harold Kingbird Sr; and aunt: Donna Lewis.

A wake will begin at 4 PM on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at the Ponemah Boys and Girls Club and continue until the service at 10 AM on Friday, January 17, 2025 with Spiritual Leader Mike Needham. Active Pallbearers will be Tobie Kingbird Jr, Keith Caldwell, Bruce Taylor Jr, Anthony Patterson, Shane Stillday, Kevin Patterson, Tyrell Patterson, Tobie Kingbird Sr, Kenny Lussier, Andrew Spears and Robbie Charrett. Alternates will be William Kingbird Jr, Randall White Sr and Brenden Dow. Honorary Pallbearers will be All his nieces and nephews, Michelle Maxwell, special nephew Jason Barrett and Family.  Burial will be at the Kingbird Burial Grounds.
