Yvette M. Lussier

Yvette Marie Lussier, age 54, of Red Lake, MN, passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, in Red Lake, MN.

Yvette was born on November 1, 1969, in Minneapolis, MN to Gaylen Lussier and Peter Graves Sr. She made her home in Red Lake. Yvette enjoyed playing online games, scrolling through Facebook, and doing crossword puzzles. She liked being a homebody and being surrounded by her kids and beloved grandchildren: Xaelia, Levi, Sheldon III, Justin Jr., Joshua, Azariah and Cashius.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Trevor Lussier, Justin (Crystal) Lussier, Seldon Defoe Jr. and Delwyn (Jenny) Smith; grandchildren: Xaelia, Levi, Sheldon III, Justin Jr., Joshua, Azariah and Cashius; father, Peter Graves Sr.; siblings: Shawn Lussier, Tiffany (Clayton) Lussier, Drew Graves, Grant Graves, Gordon Graves, Gerry Graves, Peter Graves Jr., Sherry (Stu) Sweeney; special nephews: Clayton and Trent; as well as numerous cousins, aunts, uncles other relatives and friends.

Yvette was preceded in death by her mother, Gaylen Lussier; maternal grandparents: Anna and Edward Lussier; paternal grandparents: Claudia Burns and Paul Graves; as well as many other relatives.

The wake will begin at 1PM on Monday, November 13, 2023, at the Old Red Lake Center in Red Lake and continue until the service at 1PM on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, with Father John Christianson officiating. Active pallbearers will be: Clayton Cook, Jr., Trent Cook, Rodney Lussier, Ronald Reynolds Sheldon Defoe Sr., Jason Strong, Derek Lussier, Barry Oakgrove, Sr., Justice Lussier, Mike Defoe. Honorary pallbearers will be: Melvina Defoe, Megan Defoe, Connie Defoe, Annie Oakgrove, Nicole Brun, Brenda Johns, Amber Sayers, Lisa Sayers, Danielle Ruiz, Melanie Brown, Mona Brown, Jennifer Redeagle, Gail Rabideux, Lois Lussier, Kelly Defoe, Mary Ellen Cook, Adelma Oakgrove and Shatesha Stately.
