Yvonne Claire Lussier "Ah-Gah-Bay-Ah-She-Quay"

Yvonne Claire Lussier, “Ah-Gah-Bay-Ah-She-Quay” (Everlasting Woman), age 54, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2020, at Hennepin County Medical Center.

Yvonne was born on February 13, 1966, in Red Lake, Minnesota, to Clayton Lussier and Lavonne (Gurneau) Schmunk. She was raised in Gonvick MN, attending school there. She loved to travel in her early years, living at different times in Florida and Minneapolis. She settled in Bemidji for several years where she raised her four children. While there she attended Northwest Technical College with a goal to work in medical coding. She also worked for many years as a housekeeper at Americinn and as a cabin cleaner.  Yvonne was a very loving, generous, and strong-willed woman who always had a smile to share. She loved cracking jokes, reading, playing bingo, spending time at the lake and having cookouts with her family.

Yvonne leaves behind to cherish her memory her son Kyle Lussier; daughters LaRae Stedman, Tayah Lussier, and Autumn Lussier; grandchildren Aiyana Lussier, Makeen Lussier, Victor Than, IvaRayah Lussier, and Mark Vargas Jr.; special aunt Aldene Morrison; two brothers and one sister; and special friend Kristi Striker. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents Windfield Morrison, Frances “Bunty” Morrison, and Charlie and Jane Lussier; uncles William Morrison, Richard Morrison, and Larry Morrison; and aunt Annette Towne.

A traditional wake will begin Saturday, November 14, 2020, at 2:00pm at the Redby Center, Redby Minnesota, and will continue until the service on Sunday, November 15, at 11:00am. Pallbearers will be Russell Morrison, Chad Morrison, Vincent Morrison, Robert Morrison, Adrian Tschida, and Cody Wagner. Her honorary pallbearer will be special friend Kristi Striker. A private inurnment will be held at a later date.
